BARBARA RUSHTON, Allied A.S.I.D.

Barbara is the Principal Designer and a Managing Partner of Dimensional Spaces LLC.  She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where she studied design and art history, and has been a practicing interior designer for the past 39 years.  Barbara’s specialties include both residential and commercial spaces.  She has been featured as one of Nashville’s finest designers in the widely-read hardcover showcase publication, “Spectacular Homes of Tennessee”.  And her work has appeared regularly in the annual Nashville Junior League Designer’s Showhouse.

Barbara’s first nine years in the profession were spent as a partner in a successful interior design firm in Middle Tennessee.  After moving to Nashville in 1980 and continuously for the next 30 years, she was one of the lead staff designers and buyers at Bradford's Interiors, Nashville’s well-known and respected high-end furnishing and design center in affluent Green Hills.

Barbara’s unique custom environments can be seen in upscale residences and commercial spaces throughout the Nashville region.  As various clients have relocated from the immediate vicinity or purchased second homes in lake and recreation areas, Barbara has been retained to design and furnish their homes in Highlands, NC; Norfolk, VA; Cleveland, OH; Chicago, IL; Tampa, Destin, Naples and Seagrove Beach, FL; Lake Barclay, KY; Birmingham, AL; New York City; and even Hong Kong.  As a part of her strong local community involvement, Barbara acted as adviser to the University of Tennessee on the three-year development of the school’s interior design curriculum.

She then moved to Nashville in 2006 and started her design career as a Design Assistant at Bradford's Interiors.  There, she worked very closely with several of the top performing interior designers in the company, including Barbara Rushton.  Lisa assisted them with many projects including some of Nashville's most coveted homes and showhouses.

After several years at Bradford's, Lisa joined The Curtain Exchange, a high-end curtain and bedding boutique, as their Retail Coordinator, where she focused on custom luxury window treatments and bedding, and eventually moved into the Showroom Manager position.  In 2016, she joined the Dimensional Spaces team as a Designer.  Lisa is a multidimensional designer who blends interior design, styling and organizing to make every project she takes on a huge success.
